etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar Installation - 2019 Lincoln Nautilus

Hi there Lincoln owners. Today on your 2019 Lincoln Nautilus, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install etrailer's SD tow bar for Roadmaster base plates. This tow bar from etrailer is a standard duty tow bar, which is rated for vehicles up to 6,000 pounds, which should be more than enough for our Nautilus here. And it does have some extra features on it that some of the competitors don't have. You'll notice that one of the things that probably sticks out right away is this bar here in the middle. This is a cable management bar that you can slide your coiled cables over and secure them with a pin here, to keep them in place, and that just helps keep them off the road, which can extend the life of your components. more

Our Nighthawk is going to be the first tow bar that has integrated LED lights inside the arms. That's going to illuminate the area in between us, letting all the other drivers around us know that we're flat towing something and it's not someone just driving really close behind our motor home. Our Nighthawk is a motor home mounted tow bar, which means it's going to directly into the receiver tube or into the adapter like we have here. We're not going to have to worry about having a ball mount or any other kind of coupler to hook it up to. more

Today on the 2014 Lincoln MKX, we're going to hook up part number BX7445. We got our Aventa Tow Bar straight out of the box. Let's go ahead and put it on to our RV. We got 2 different holes for adjustment. Always a good idea to keep this as close as possible. Install the hitch pin that comes with it. You may want to upgrade this to a locking hitch pin. Before we hook it up to our vehicle, we'll go ahead and show you how to store it. It's basically, as a ball socket, that you can take it and rotate it up. This pin will go in to the slot right here. more
